Following previous campaigns in Italian and ADAC Formula 4 and most recently a Euroformula Open campaign in 2019, Jack Doohan moved up to FIA Formula 3 for 2020 with HWA Racelab.

He finished his first campaign 26th in the Standings before making the switch to Trident for a second full season where he made huge strides and competed for the Drivers’ Championship.

The Australian ultimately fell just short, finishing second overall having taken four race victories in 2021 and another three podium results.

His impressive season meant graduation up to Formula 2 for 2022, where he went on to take multiple race victories across two full seasons in the Championship.

In 2024 ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix, Doohan was confirmed as joining Alpine F1 Team in a full-time race seat alongside Pierre Gasly, becoming the first Alpine Academy driver to graduate to F1 with the team.

Ahead of the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Doohan was confirmed to be replacing Esteban Ocon for the final round of the season for his F1 race debut.
