Quick yet calculated, Victor Martins got his 2022 campaign off to a strong start with two victories in the opening three rounds, but it was the ART Grand Prix driver's consistent points-scoring performances that laid the foundations to his Championship success.
The Frenchman’s second year in FIA Formula 3 mirrored his podium tally from his maiden campaign, but appearances in the points were much more regular. He failed to score on just four occasions throughout the year - and only once when seeing the chequered flag in 2022.
Four runner-up finishes and two Feature Race victories put him in control, dropping off the top spot once all season. He rebounded at Zandvoort with a critically important P2 finish in the Feature Race to regain first in the Standings, a position he held for the remainder of the year.
Looking to build on the momentum his title has generated, Martins has his eyes set on moving up the Road To F1 ladder next season.
