Noah Stromsted is back with TRIDENT in 2026 and focused on maximising everything he can to mount a title challenge this year.

The Danish driver got a rookie campaign under his belt last season and enjoyed a maiden victory along the way, but he’s targeting greater things this time around.

Ahead of the campaign getting underway, he explained what the differences were ahead of his second season in the FIA Formula 3 Championship.

“I think I've prepared well over the winter and last year for sure has helped a lot to prepare for this season,” he said.

“I think it will be very important, especially in places like Monaco, where it's a street circuit that people have normally not raced at before, it's a big advantage to have been there already and to know what to expect and how to maximise the weekend.”

In terms of preparations, Stromsted of course has a year of racing to fall back on, and he has used that to refine his pre-season and in-season plans for 2026.

With a team around him he already knows and feels comfortable with, focus can instead be dedicated fully to extracting as much performance as possible and making gains based on last season’s findings.

“I’ve done quite a lot of sim and training, a few tests, but mostly sim work. Coming back with TRIDENT is very, very helpful. Everyone is the same, I have the same engineers, same mechanics, so it's a big help knowing them for one year already.

“Knowing how each other works is important, and I think we are in a good place this season.”

Asked what the biggest difference will be this season compared to his rookie campaign, Stromsted said that the experience of how the weekend unfolds and when to ramp things up will be pivotal.

He highlighted Qualifying as an area in particular where he can make more of a difference now that he has a season’s-worth of data and knowledge to rely upon.

“I think it's just generally experience and knowing and then understanding how the sessions unfold in Qualifying in the races. Last year, I think that's what my main issue was in some rounds. Qualifying is so important in F3, so I've been working quite hard over the winter to improve that.

“Other than that, I’m just aiming to be in the fight at the top in all the rounds. I mean, this Championship is about consistency, so to always make it there in the front is where you’ll make up most of your points across the season.”
