Théophile Nael is targeting a rebound in Silverstone after a tough weekend last time out in Spielberg.

While he was able to prove his pace on Saturday and Sunday and moved through the pack, he's aiming for more this time around. A clean start to the weekend in Qualifying is the focus heading into Friday's running says the Campos Racing driver.

"I'm looking forward to this weekend," he said. "Last year I had a good result here, even in Sprint Race, the pace was really good for my first time on this track last year. So, looking forward to it and I really enjoy this track.

"The team there last year did pole with Nikola, so maybe we can replicate it. But the main objective is to get back at the front, score points this weekend, keep my head down, and stay focused the whole weekend."

The aim will be to keep on building confidence, says Nael, as the high-speed Silverstone circuit rewards drivers that can push the limits around its impressive layout.

It was here that his Spielberg weekend fell apart, as a track limits violation on Friday put him on the back foot and left him down the order for both races.

This time around, the Frenchman is keen to keep it within the white lines and maximise his and Campos' impressive speed that has been on display so far in 2026.

"I think we have to bring confidence for the high-speed corners. That is the main aspect this weekend. We have to be careful about that as well.

"I made a mistake at the Red Bull Ring last weekend that deleted my first push in quali, so we'll have to take it easy on that. But here we should have more laps than usual in FP.

"We have time to build confidence as the weekend goes on. We know that it's still a super early race, so the track temp could be cold. But I think we are strong as well when the conditions are cold as a team. So, let's see."

Asked whether we might see another race decided by tyre degradation, Nael said that the Silverstone circuit shouldn't be too affected by wear, if drivers can keep graining within check.

"I'm not expecting that much deg to be honest on the tyres, even though last year I was struggling with the front left graining. But the rest, the rear tyres are fine, so it should be fine."
