MP Motorsport have confirmed their first driver signing for the 2025 FIA Formula 3 season with Tim Tramnitz set to race for the team in what will be his second campaign in the Championship.

Tramnitz stepped up to Formula 3 last year after an impressive 2023 Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine season, in which he finished third in the Standings.

He then made a bright start to his rookie campaign in F3 with MP, finishing third at the season-opening Sakhir Feature Race.

The Red Bull Academy prospect went on to achieve three more podiums in 2024, which includes a maiden victory at the final Sprint Race of the year in Monza.

The 19-year-old ended the year ninth in the Standings with 81 points and following the confirmation of his return with MP, is already eyeing more success in 2025.

“I’m very pleased to continue with MP Motorsport for my second year in Formula 3”, said Tramnitz. “My rookie season contained many highlights, including my first F3 victory, and now our goal must be to improve our consistency and add more wins to our tally.

“The team and I have managed to create a strong relationship in 2024, and I’m looking forward to use that as a platform for more success in 2025, getting as much out of the new car as we can.”

MP Motorsport Team Principal Sander Dorsman added: “It’s wonderful that Tim has decided to stay with us for another go at the FIA Formula 3 Championship. I’m happy to know that he has found a true home at MP, and we will continue to provide the family atmosphere in which our drivers revel and thrive. This year, Tim has had a fantastic rookie season in F3 and we aim to build on that for 2025. It’s our plan to be frontrunners at every race.”
