Following the conclusion of the FIA Formula 3 Barcelona Sprint Race, several drivers have been handed post-race penalties and following a Right of Review, one penalty has been rescinded.

Firstly, Brando Badoer’s in-race time penalty has been rescinded.

The Rodin Motorsport driver was handed a 10-second time penalty for being judged to have caused a collision of Car 3 belonging to Ernesto Rivera out of Turn 14.

The Stewards elected to review the decision, having discovered that there may be a significant and relevant new element that was unavailable to them at the time of the decision

Team representatives of Car 3 and 18 were summoned and heard, with the Team Manager of Car 3 indicating Rivera had suffered a technical issue that caused a loss of power and speed.

As a result, the Stewards determined that Badoer was taking avoiding action and did not have enough time to react, and neither driver was wholly or predominantly responsible for the collision, therefore rescinding the subsequent penalty he received in-race.

Badoer moves up to 10th in the classification as a result.

Secondly, Maciej Gladysz has been handed a post-race time penalty.

Stewards investigated the ART Grand Prix driver and found Car 11 to be out of position at the start of the race having taken the grid spot belonging to Car 7, breaching Article 37.15 of the 2026 FIA Formula 3 Sporting Regulations

Subsequently, they applied a post-race drive-through penalty to Car 11, which is converted into a 20-second time penalty and added to his total race time.

With the penalty applied, Gladysz falls to P23 in the classification.

Additionally, Matteo De Palo has been awarded a post-race time penalty.

A post-race investigation revealed that the TRIDENT driver was out of position at the start of the Sprint after taking the grid slot meant for Car 11, breaching Article 37.15 of the 2026 FIA Formula 3 Sporting Regulations.

As a result, the Stewards applied a post-race drive-through penalty to Car 6, which is converted into a 20-second time penalty.

With the penalty applied, De Palo is now classified P25 in the Sprint Race.

Finally, Christian Ho has been handed a post-race time penalty.

Ho was found to be out of position at the start of the race, taking the grid spot meant for Car 6, breaching Article 37.15 of the 2026 FIA Formula 3 Sporting Regulations

The Stewards applied a drive-through penalty for the infraction, which is converted into a 20-second time penalty and added to his race time.

With the penalty applied, Ho now finishes P26 in the Sprint Race classification.
