The top three drivers in this year’s Championship put on a show for us in 2024, and while Leonardo Fornaroli took away the top honours there were plenty of trophies being handed out at the prize giving.
Fornaroli was on hand to collect his silverware, as was runner-up Gabriele Minì and third-placed Luke Browning, and after they did, they gave their thoughts on the season…
Fornaroli was the picture of consistency in 2024, scoring points in 18 out of the 20 races, while also achieving seven podiums and two Pole Positions along the way.

But it was his final move of the year that proved the most decisive, as with the Championship slipping away, the Italian’s overtake at the last corner on the last lap on Christian Mansell gave him the title at Monza. He will now step up to Formula 2 with Invicta Racing in 2025.
“It’s a special feeling. All the hard work started to pay off, to finally have this big trophy, probably the biggest I have received in my life, I am super happy.”
It was a superb season for Minì and while he missed out on winning the title, it is a campaign that he and his team are proud to have had. The Italian achieved five podiums across the year including a second Monte Carlo Feature Race victory.
Minì also made the step up to Formula 2 with PREMA for the Baku round, achieving a podium on debut in Baku and he will race for them full-time in the second tier in 2025.

“It’s a bit of mixed feelings. We’ve had a good season overall, some good races, some worse ones but in the end, we improved a lot our consistency which was the main weak point of last year really. It’s a shame to have lost it on the last corner of the last lap, you can’t really hide your luck, but in the end, I think we can be very proud of the job we have done this season.”
The title may not have come his way but for Browning the 2024 season was still a terrific one, achieving two Pole Positions and three podiums which included two Feature Race victories.
The first of those wins came at the opening round in Sakhir before a victory from Pole Position followed in Spielberg at Round 7. Unfortunately for the Briton he did not get the results he needed at the final three rounds to take the Championship but is still proud of his campaign.
He is now set to continue with Hitech Pulse-Eight for his rookie Formula 2 season in 2025.
“It’s not what we set out to do but still very happy with the end result and for the results we had at the end of the year, it’s fantastic and I think at many points it could have gone either way. But whatever way you look at it, this year wasn’t our year, but I’ve got next year to look forward to and to fight for a title again.”
