One pink and one green but filled with special memories: Mari Boya on his 2025 Helmet
Mari Boya can sometimes be seen with two helmets on a race weekend, and while one features a usual design with green, he has had for years, his new one has a dash a pink.
The Campos Racing driver talks us through his design choices, how his helmets have changed over the years, and the parts of it that will remain the same forever.
“Well for this year, I always get two helmets from Bell, so I am really pleased and thankful to them.

“I always do my design with Jota Designs, who is a guy from Madrid. He has been working with me for the past two or three years, and for this year I wanted to try a different thing because I always use the same colours.
“That is green, the Spanish flag and more or less the design is similar with maybe gold colours as well, but I really wanted to do a special or different helmet this year using pink.
“I think it looks really nice. It's a colour that I also like a lot, so for this year I have two designs that are the same, but using pink instead of green, and I think it looks really nice.
“As always, I love to have pictures with my mum from when I was younger, it's really special and for sure I really like this helmet and I am really pleased to wear it.
“This is one thing I started doing in 2018, so it's been quite a while, it's something I will keep always.

“To be honest, the design doesn't change always, it's more or less the same. Since I was in karting, I've used these spaces, when I was young it was just black, now I use them to put the pictures that I think suit it really nicely.
“To be honest, the design, I like to be quite aggressive at the top, using the Spanish flag here on all the designs that I really like and yeah, I really like it.
“If I were asked to do a special helmet last year, I would have said I am doing all-pink but now I have pink. I would like to add more pink at the front, because as a driver, the part you see the most is the front and it's quite wide, so you cannot really see that it is pink.
“So maybe I would add a bit more pink at the front but to be honest, I really like it this.
“The design for sure will not change too much, maybe each year I add a little difference. But if I show you the two helmets from this year and the previous years that are green, you would not see the difference. Maybe I will because I know what I changed, but you would not.
“At the start of the season, I say to Jota do the same as last year, try to implement some things, and I will tell you if I like them. Then I will ask for this one to have some pink, and he shows me a few different styles and I say, 'That's the one I like the most' and I got it.”
