Campos Racing followed up their huge climb up the Standings in 2023 with a similar year in 2024, scoring 179 points once more and again finishing fourth in the Teams’ Championship.

They did this with a trio of second year drivers and Spanish outfit have once again gone for experience in 2025, bringing to the grid Mari Boya, Nikola Tsolov, and Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak.

So, what should we expect from them this year?

Boya returns for a third year in Formula 3 but a second with Campos having raced for the team last season, winning on home soil in the Barcelona Sprint Race.

The Spaniard scored 45 points and finished 15th in the Drivers' Championship but when looking back on his campaign the statistics do not tell the full story.

Boya had good pace, especially in the races, but he often found himself having to produce comeback drives through the field after struggling in Qualifying.

Speaking at the end of the year about Boya and 2024 driver Sebastián Montoya’s season, Team Principal Adrián Campos Jr said: “Sebastián and Mari, they were struggling in Qualifying.

“There was always something happening, taking out their laps for track limits, finding traffic, Red Flags, yellow flags, all these things that didn't allow them to start in these high positions.

“But they were both moving forward, starting at the back, they put on some good shows. I think Mari managed to finish in the points a few times starting behind P25.”

Boya’s qualified in the top 12 in four out of 10 rounds last year. In the remaining six, he was P15 or lower, but a positive is that he was consistently about to go through the field.

While that is great, he will want more rounds like in Melbourne and Monte Carlo where he qualified P6 and P7 respectively, scoring points in both races on each weekend.

If he can do that more often, he has shown he has the pace to be in the fight for the top positions, and he is also more likely to avoid some of the collisions that he got involved in when battling in the midfield.

Boya will be joined this year by Nikola Tsolov, who will be racing for the Spanish team in F3 for the first time, but they have had success together in the past.

Tsolov and Campos won 13 out of 21 races of the 2022 Spanish F4 Championship, where he went on to win the title before stepping up to F3.

The 18-year-old won three races last year – the second most of anybody on the grid – and his 75 laps led were the most of any driver as well.

Tsolov though, like Boya, will be hoping to improve on his consistency because in the 18 races he contested in 2024, he finished outside the points in 11 of them.

He ended up 11th in the Drivers' Championship but there is no doubt that Tsolov will be eyeing more in 2025. His preparations have already gotten off to a good start, as he was constantly near the top of the timesheets at post-season testing in Jerez and Barcelona.

The Bulgarian has been keen to express how happy he is to be back at Campos and how comfortable he felt in the car. There will be new machinery this year, but Tsolov believes he is ready to take a step forward in 2025.

The final member of their 2025 lineup is Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, who is set to start his second season in Formula 3.

The Thai driver previously raced for Campos in 2023 in Eurocup-3 and returns to the team after a rookie year where his best result was P2 at the Budapest Sprint Race.

Those were his only points of the season, but he will hope that a move to Campos, who have shown great pace recently in F3, should help propel him further up the grid.

He had a good test in Jerez and Barcelona and while the timesheets did not always reflect it, Inthraphuvasak felt there was good progress made with the team.

Like his new teammates, his previous experience should serve him will this season especially when it comes to developing the new car. He showed flashes last year of his potential to be in the mix at the front, but he will want to do that consistently.

For that to happen though, he, Boya, and Tsolov will be crucial to the development of the new car because if they can hit the ground running, Campos have a trio of drivers who have shown they have the pace in Formula 3.
