Floersch handed post-Race 2 time penalty

Sophia Floersch has been handed a five-second time penalty for forcing Carlin Buzz racer Cameron Das off track in today’s Formula 3 Race 2 at Silverstone.

The Stewards examined video evidence and determined that the Campos driver moved slightly ahead of Das as the cars exited Turn 7, and drifted to the left-hand edge of the tarmac, forcing the American off the road.

In the opinion of the Stewards, Das had established enough of a lead through the corner to have had a right to room on the track at the exit.

The penalty drops Floersch from 21st to 25th in the final classification.
