It’s an early season test for the Campos Racing teammates as we question just how well they know each other at this point in the year.
Nikola Tsolov, Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak and Mari Boya make up the only line-up in 2025 that doesn’t include a rookie, so does that mean this trio know each other best?
Here’s how they got on…
How would you describe your teammates?
Nikola Tsolov: “Tas is very nonchalant. He’s very chill. Mari’s a bit more emotional. He’s a funny guy, passionate.
Mari Boya: “That’s quite nice of him. I’d say similar for Tas, but I’d also say he’s really funny. Nikola is also a really nice guy.”
Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak: “Yeah, I think the same as what Nikola said. Mari is very passionate. Sometimes he can get a bit emotional. Nikola – I think he works pretty hard. He also gets sick very easily.
Tsolov: “I’m just a sick guy.”
What are each other’s best qualities?
Inthraphuvasak: We’re all very competitive.”
Tsolov: “I’ll talk outside of motorsport and say that I’m quite impressed with Tas’ skills in surfing. He went for the first time the other day and he stood up on his first ever wave. So that’s one of the things he’s good at for sure. Mari is really good at running. I could never see myself running that fast and that much. He’s pretty good at sports in general. Like padel.”
Boya: “Nikola is friends with everyone. Everyone he meets, people like him. He’s very outgoing.”
What would they do if they weren’t a racing driver?
Inthraphuvasak: “Mari would do some other sport. Nikola, maybe something else in sports too. This is a tricky one.”
Boya: “Tas would be a surfer.”
Inthraphuvasak: “Come on there’s no way I’d be a surfer.”
Tsolov: “This is a tricky one…”
Inthraphuvasak: “He’d be a DJ. Nikola would be a DJ.”
Boya: “I was thinking about design or something...”
Inthraphuvasak: “He told me a while ago he was getting into DJing and now he’s getting quite good.”
Tsolov: “I started about three years ago, only just getting decent now. I’ve just got to lock in.”
Who’s the funniest?
Inthraphuvasak: “I think both of them are pretty funny.”
Tsolov: “Mari’s got this very funny Spanish-style humour, which I like. And his accent makes everything funnier.” Boya: “My English is…
Tsolov: “Nah just sometimes you’ll say something that’s not supposed to be funny, but it comes across so funny the way you say it.”
Inthraphuvasak: “He’s started saying ‘no cap’ now.”
Tsolov: “We were on the way here for the interview and he was just like ‘no cap’. And we asked him, ‘Why no cap, Mari?’ And he said, ‘Because I stopped capping now.”

What’s the most embarrassing thing one of you have done since being teammates?
Tsolov: “I can’t say for Mari, I’ve not seen him much outside of the track in serious conditions. But Tas, we were playing ping pong, and we were playing in the middle of the workshop at Campos, a professional environment, but it got to the point where it was getting pretty out of hand…”
If you had to cook a meal for the others, what would you cook?
Inthraphuvasak: “For Mari, some Spanish dish for sure.”
Boya: “Yeah I don’t have a problem with that.”
Tsolov: “Well because I can’t cook, and because Mari likes everything, I’ll just cook him some pasta. And then for Tas, I’d do some Asian noodles you get from the store. Pot noodle! It’s so easy, it’s basically pasta twice.”
Boya: “You’ll eat whatever I give you. Chicken and rice, boom. Easy!”
Tsolov: “It’s the one thing I don’t eat; I don’t like chicken. It’s too dry.”
Boya: “Ahh true. I remember you saying now.”
Inthraphuvasak: “I’d probably make Nikola some tacos because when we go to this restaurant we always go to when we’re at the workshop, he always takes the tacos.”
Who’s the best looking?
Boya: “Nikola thinks it’s him.”
Inthraphuvasak: “I know Nikola thinks it’s him. He’s always mewing. Even the fans know he’s mewing.”
Tsolov: “Bro, I don’t even do it. I used to but I’m just good looking naturally. Sometimes you’re just born with it, man. It’s like talent. You can work hard to improve it, or you’re born with it.”
Who knows the most about cars?
Boya: “I can say I don’t think it’s me.”
Inthraphuvasak: “Me too, I don’t think it’s me.”
Tsolov: “I think Tas. But inside of motorsport? Like in terms of car setup and stuff? I’d say last year, definitely not me but this year, I’ve improved. You know what cornering stiffness is?

Who’s on their phone the most, and who takes the longest to reply?
Nikola: “Tas. He’s always chatting to people and texting people. But he replies quickly. In the drivers’ group, everyone responds pretty quick. We’re not that dry. Although he’s nonchalant, he’s not that dry.”
What’s the biggest thing you’ve learned from each other so far?
Inthraphuvasak: “Nikola is way too sensitive to temperature.”
Boya: “It’s true! Yesterday we were in a team meeting- “
Inthraphuvasak: “- Open the door, close the door. Open the window, close the window. Air con on with window open.”
Boya: “Good one, Tas.”
Tsolov: “For Tas, I can say that sometimes he’s motivating me to take more notes. He’s always taking notes, and it reminds me to do it.”
Boya: “True.”
Tsolov: “Although you remember everything in your head, it’s still a good habit to do. I’ve noticed myself twice already this year taking notes after seeing him doing it, so I respect that, bro, keep it up.”
Boya: “This is true. I’m just saying it’s true, I’m just here confirming.”
Tsolov: “Mari’s been trying to push me to improve my running, although it hasn’t been working out great.”
What’s something that you’ve always wanted to say to the others, but haven’t done so yet?
Boya: “I don’t care, I say what I think.”
Inthraphuvasak: “Me too, I don’t think I’ve not said anything I wanted to say.”
Boya: “I would say at the moment we’re pretty open.”
Tsolov: “I’d say the same. Although I would say Mari has a good sense of humour that others might not get, and I relate to that.”
Who spends the most time in the gym, and who is on the sim the most?
Inthraphuvasak: “Mari is gym for sure.”
Boya: “Me? No!”
Tsolov: “Mari for sure.”
Inthraphuvasak: “Does sim mean at the workshop or at home? Sim, I think we’re equal.”
Boya: “I think it’s Nikola at home. I was doing zero before.”
Inthraphuvasak: “Me too. Now I’m living in England, I do.”
Tsolov: “I do quite a bit at home. But for me it’s like I’d do two days straight only sim, or I don’t do any. I’m not on it every day.”
Who would win in an arm-wrestling contest between the three of you?
Tsolov: “Bro, that’s Mari in our team.”
Inthraphuvasak: “I want to try now actually.”
Boya: “This is like the one thing I’m good at. I was studying in Barcelona at a place where there was a lot of sports being played, and we did water polo. I was young, not looking too strong but I beat everyone in class. But I don’t know why, I don’t think it’s down to strength.”
Inthraphuvasak: “Me and Nikola did it once, and we were pretty close, but I’ve not tried with Mari yet.”
